FAQs

Am I allowed to join?

Everyone in the book trade is welcome to join, and it’s free. The Pub Bench has been designed primarily for publishers to share their knowledge with each other for their mutual benefit, but agents, authors, booksellers, students, and other interested parties will all enhance the community’s knowledge.

How do I join?

Check your junk mail.

I want to post in a category that doesn’t exist.

Either post in the General category, or email us and we’ll set up your desired category.

Didn’t I see The Pub Bench about a year ago? Is this the same thing?

Yes, you did, and yes, it is. The project was mothballed because the site was quite manual and the administrators had other things to do, like running their companies. But now Wordpress has a free plug in, called WP Forum Server, which means this site can run pretty much automagically. Thanks to Eric for developing it!
